Painters Forstal, Painters Farm 19th to 22nd September 2008 Site open at 2.00pm This year we asked the members to choose the theme for this year Feast of Lanterns. Last year 2007 Bonfire meet we had 50 units out so we discided to give out some paper and asked them to write down the theme they would like to do for the Feast of Lanterns 2008 and Disney came out on top. So start using imaginations and start making your display. You have 5 months so you can take your time and make your displays. Last year nearly all the units done a display or put lights around their unit and the whole field was lit up and the committee done the barn up. Not only did they do the units members also dressed up in fancy dress to and had lots of fun. The theme last year was Halloween and there was witches and ghosts everywhere. So when doing your unit up also think about dressing up to make a good weekend. We have got a raffle,disco,apple dunking and soup.There are prizes for the best unit display and for the window display. £16 per unit Friday and Saturday night and if you want to stay Sunday night you can it will be £4 for Sunday night. So come and join us for a great weekend.

The East Kent DA Chairman and Webmaster Dave Banks love's drawing and painting Disney characters. As you can see Dave and his working party are hard at work doing the picture's for the barn. If anybody want's to come and help to do some painting you are welcome to come along. We will be down at Painters Farm, Painters Forstal on Tuesday.We start about 11.00am. Some time we will be going down on Saturday for few hours.Do not worry if you cannot draw, Dave will be doing all the drawing all we need is painter's It's best to ring Dave or Tina or e-mail them to make sure we are going to be there before you come.
